What sets GHCreative apart

Mother Nature knows best:  Most who are sensitive to fragrance or experience skin irritations find they are not sensitive to our products because we only use essential oils to scent them, and for their beneficial properties.  We use a variety of herbs, fats, oils, and butters sourced from nature, and gently blend them into our soaps at low temperatures so we can retain as much of their enzymes and nutrients as we can. We want to make sure that the healing benefits of these natural ingredients are kept intact and we let them stand on their own merits, without use of preservatives, artificial ingredients or fillers. Below is a list of ingredients we draw from regularly when making our soap recipes.

Almond Oil:  High in Vitamins E, A and D this oil is perfect for soothing dry, irritated skin. It is also said to be beneficial for rashes, psoriasis and eczema.  Almond Oil is high in Oleic and Linoleic fatty acids which are beneficial to skin and help produce a rich, conditioning lather in our soap.

Avocado Oil:  We use cold pressed Avocado Oil because it is rich in vitamins A, B, D and E as well as lecithin, potassium, protein, beta carotene and amino acids. This powerhouse oil is great for mature, dry, or irritated skin.

Beeswax:  Not just for lip balms and lotion bars, Beeswax is an incredible and natural way to add extra firmness to our soap bars. We love this stuff!

Castor Oil: This cold pressed oil is said to be easily absorbed by the skin making it a great skin softener and conditioner. The high percentage of Ricinoleic acid means this oil gives our soap an incredibly conditioning, fluffy and stable lather.

Cocoa Butter:  Not just for chocolate; this antioxidant rich, moisturizing butter, is known for its ability to sooth mature skin, eczema, dermatitis, and stretch marks.

Coconut Oil: We love this oil for it's wonderful scent, moisturizing properties, and fantastic lather. Virgin Coconut Oil is full of healthy vitamins, natural enzymes known to be antibacterial and anti-fungal, and has incredible cleansing qualities.

Grapeseed Oil:   We choose to use cold pressed Grapeseed Oil due to it's antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it great for oily or acne prone skin. This oil is easily absorbed and beautifully conditioning, without leaving a greasy film on the skin or clogging pores. Its is also reported to help reduce the look of stretch marks and relieve dry itchy skin.

Hemp Seed Oil:  This unrefined, cold pressed oil Contains Vitamins A, B, D and E and is rich in fatty acids, amino acids and proteins. It has been found to be good for dry hair, dry skin and eczema; we also like Hemp Seed Oil for its ability to produce a stable and conditioning lather.

Lard:   Our ancestors believed in avoiding waste wherever possible; borrowing from the pages of history we too believe in making use of all nature has to offer.  High quality, food grade Lard produces a nice, firm bar of soap with a stable, conditioning, and long lasting lather.

Mango Butter:  This soft butter is pressed from the seed kernel of the Mango fruit, indigenous to India and Malaysia. Mango Butter is especially good for dry or mature skin and is known for its healing properties in cases of eczema and dermatitis.  It's also a powerful antioxidant said to help with sunburn, insect bites, rashes and stretch marks.

Olive Oil:  We use cold-pressed Olive Oil for it's anti-inflammatory and anti bacterial properties. High in Oleic acid, Virgin Olive Oil will absorb into the skin and form a protective barrier against the elements. It acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin and it also provides a lovely, conditioning lather.

Shea Butter:   Mothers in Africa have been making Shea Butter and using it for their own skin and that of their children for centuries. These beautiful women gather the Shea nuts by hand, roast them over open fires and collect the oils to be made into nurishing butter. We love using unrefined Shea Butter in virtually all our skin care products as it is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids. It sooths skin irritations, helps to heal minor cuts and burns and of course, moisturises skin. It also performs beautifully in the soap making process.

Essential Oils:  We only use essential oils in our soaps. Not only do they smell better, used responsibly they are far better for us and our children alike.

Roots, Fruit, Vegetables and Herbs:  We use many different plants for their health benefits, colour, and as exfoliants. Sourced locally whenever possible, we enjoy spending time with our children gathering flowers, tending our garden, and teaching about the benefits of what Mother Nature has to offer.
